Art Workshops

Teaching artist, Paige Skenandore, has been facilitating bead and quillwork workshops throughout Wisconsin over the last several years. She has led workshops with the Art & Literature Laboratory(Madison), Bay View Foundation(Madison), Ho-Chunk Nation Museum Cultural Center(Tomah), Madison Public Library, Oneida Nation Arts Program, River Arts Inc(Prairie du Sac), Tomah School District, UW-Madison campus, and more. Paige is passionate about teaching the importance of indigenous art appreciation, and encourages free workshop enrollment for indigenous people at the workshops. As an undergraduate student at UW-Madison, she also completed a funded research project that examined the impact of beadwork in Indigenous communities, exploring its role in fostering social connections, resiliency and art therapy as a healing tool.
